StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum has created a unique platform for policymaking in IT sphere in Eurasian region
The inaugural StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum took place on November 4-5 in Kyiv, Ukraine
It has gathered together the global and the local representatives of the private sector, the governments and the international financial institutions.
The Forum provided a unique opportunity to discuss what needs to be done in order to enhance the innovative economy across the region, and to assist the Eurasian countries to integrate into the global economic and security system.
The Forum was attended by over 50 speakers from 12 countries, and over 150 guests. The event brought together private and public sector representatives and international financial institutions including the World Bank and EBRD, to discuss the work being done to promote innovative economies in the region and elaborate ways to facilitate digital transformation in Eurasian countries.
Participants from the European Commission, EPAM Systems, EY, Google, high-tech parks, ministries, and representatives of large companies from across Eurasia, EU and U.S. touched upon building the new economy in Eurasia, intellectual property rights protection, new economy as a remedy for corruption, tax regulation and legislative initiatives in the IT sphere; electronic payment systems regulation, and more.
The StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum will be held annually in one of the Eurasian capitals and is forming “Eurasian working groups” on issues relevant to the Eurasian digital economy.
