President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presents state grants to winners of first startup competition

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has participated in the award ceremony of the first grant contest of the Ukrainian Startup Fund.

“The Head of State presented eight certificates for the total amount of UAH 9 million to the representatives of the companies-winners for the implementation of innovative ideas,” the press service of the Head of State reports.

“Today, the first winners will receive state funding for their startups. These are investment projects in various spheres that can improve the lives of both individual sectors and ordinary citizens of Ukraine,” the President said, greeting the winners.

The Head of State stressed that such investment projects helped small business grow big.

The Ukrainian Startup Fund provides funding to early-stage companies. A startup that meets all the selection criteria can receive up to $75,000 from the state: up to $25,000 at the pre-seed stage and up to $ 50,000 at the seed stage.

State funding was provided to BioBin mobile application, Pytag search service, Ukrainian sustainable women’s clothing brand Framiore, Pravomen legal aid service, FieldBI agricultural land management information analytics system, BIOC nanotechnology for bioplastics, GeoDesign.info service on evaluation of locations for successful business development, AeroDrone developer of solutions for drones.
