StrategEast hosts online panel on IT solutions to combat COVID-19

To keep discussing how the technology could lead to an overall transformation in Eurasia, StrategEast launches a series of online panels StrategEast Live.

The first one – “Technology as a remedy” discussing the IT solutions to combat COVID-19 crisis is going to get held on Wednesday, April 22, at 9:00-10:00 EST (15:00-16:00 CET).

Panel Moderator:

Dr. Gregory Asmolov, King’s College London. Dr. Asmolov is the author of the article “Coronovations: the role of digital platforms in responding to the pandemic”.

Speakers:

Omri Segev Moyal, CEO of cybersecurity company Profero, Co-Founder & VP of Research at Minerva Labs. Mr. Moyal has been involved in the development of the Hamagen application, launched by the Israeli Ministry of Health to protect the population from the coronavirus and installed by more than a million people in Israel.

Dr. Tomicah Tillemann, Digital impact and governance initiative director at New America Foundation. The author of the article “Beyond Coronavirus”.

Mariam Lashkhi, Deputy Chairperson Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA)

Heiko Sundermann, EPAM VP, head of Digital Engagement practice, sponsor of EPAM’s COVID RESISTANCE initiative

Among the issues to be discussed on the panel are:

What solutions does the global IT industry provide to combat the COVID-19 crisis?

– How the IT industry and the governments can cooperate to tackle the effects of the global crisis?

Leaders of the global IT industry, government officials and the NGO representatives will take part in the event.
