StrategEast IT HUB was launched in February, 2020 in Tbilisi by StrategEast and the leading American engineering company EPAM Systems. The main goal of IT HUB is to increase the number of qualified personnel in the IT field, create high-paid jobs, expand the capabilities of technological entrepreneurship, attract foreign direct investment, and export IT services. The IT HUB training includes five professions: front-end developer, ASP.NET developer, JAVA developer, Android app developer, and QA engineer.
Within the first year of operation, it has already trained and provided the first jobs in the IT industry for dozens of young Georgians.
In May, 2021 StrategEast started collaborating with Exadel on training Georgian students within the StrategEast IT HUB. In May, 2021 students of the Business and Technology University (Georgia) have started training for QA Engineers. Specialists from Exadel, an international IT company that develops software and delivers IT consulting services, headquartered in California, USA, train the students.
In 2021 expanded its operation to Moldova and Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan, students were recruited from Khazar University, Azerbaijan Technical University and Baku State University. In Moldova, StartegEast secured the candidates selection together with Tekwill, an ICT Excellence Center located in Moldova.
This is the second enrollment of students at StrategEast IT HUB.
The StrategEast EPAM IT HUB is planned to extend its activity to other Eurasian countries.
