On September 18-19 StrategEast Georgia in collaboration with EPAM Georgia and with the support of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) held the first EPAM Engineering Hackathon with the main message — Design Your Future.
EPAM Engineering Hackathon is focused on implementing the ideas contributing to the technological advancement and development of the Georgian IT environment, thus improving everyday life experiences for the citizens.
Anatoly Motkin, president of StrategEast, being on a jury panel, selected hackathon winners:
- Grand Winner – “Naruto” team from EPAM Georgia, working on a knowledge-sharing platform for free self-study materials;
- EPAM Winner – Dzmitryi Kunets, a solo participant from EPAM Belarus working on a Communication Single Point platform for citizens. EPAM will continue working on the project to complete it and implement it for Georgian citizens;
- UNDP Georgia also chose their winner and awarded the team “Dart Team“ working on the project of city accessibility map for wheelchair users.
Overall, 22 ideas were submitted to the hackathon.
The hackathon was co-partnered by EPAM, StrategEast, UNDP Georgia, and GITA.
