The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation and Mastercard have announced the beginning of cooperation in the development of digital services and support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov and Mastercard CEO Inga Andreeva.

“The cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Mastercard is aimed at promoting SMEs development in Ukraine, in particular by launching a consultative and functional online platform for entrepreneurs. On such a platform, SMEs will be able to receive qualified assistance and pay online for public services,” reads the document.

The platform will help people to receive consultations on administrative issues related to setting up, operating or closing a business. It will also provide comprehensive legal, tax, legislative, financial advisory support – along with the hotline for entrepreneurs, which was established in late November 2019 by a working group of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for SMEs development. If required, one can book an appointment via this platform to any of the state-owned SME consulting centers.

In addition, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Mastercard plan to cooperate in the sphere of payments and identification. Another vector of cooperation is the implementation of payment functions in software, which is planned to be integrated in administrative service centers.
