The 2020 Forum connected government officials, representatives of international financial institutions and development agencies, including USAID, EBRD, the World Bank, the United Nations, Helvetas, global and local IT industry leaders, including Microsoft, EPAM Systems, Axios, and others, for 12 discussion panels with various topics on TECHNOLOGY AS A REMEDY.
The key outcomes of the Forum:
• The IT industry has been declared as one of the priorities for the Georgian government along with tourism and agriculture;
• The reduced 5% tax rate will be introduced shortly for IT companies in Georgia;
• EPAM Systems – one of the leading global engineering companies starts its operation in Georgia.
