Oleksandr Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, told on this event about measures taken by the government to increase the digital resilience of the state, including: the launch of a crypto fund, relocation of equipment and database backups to safer areas of Ukraine; creation of a layered system of cyber defense for the state IT infrastructure and others.

The speakers of the event also included Lorena Boix-Alonso, Director for Digital Society, Trust & Cybersecurity at DG Connect; Lise Fuhr, Director General, ETNO; Elena Plexida, VP for Stakeholders Engagement, ICANN.

According to the webinar chair, Lorenzo Pupillo, Associate Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Cybersecurity@CEPS Initiative, the conclusion that can be drawn from the situation is that investing in the cyber resilience is paying off and the countries within the EU and beyond should enhance their efforts in creating a safer digital environment.
