U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo’s visit to Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park is a good sign for the development of business and cooperation with the USA, Director of the Hi-Tech Park Vsevolod Yanchevsky told journalists, BelTA has learned.

“We are really happy that during his visit to the Hi-Tech Park the U.S. secretary of state was pleasantly surprised by our Belarusian developments. It is a good sign for business,” Vsevolod Yanchevsky said.

He stressed that cooperation with the United States in the IT sector is of great importance. “No country in the world can do without it,” Vsevolod Yanchevsky said. “In the world of IT and high technologies, the United States is the number one country, the undisputed leader, because Google, Apple, Amazon, Facebook and many others were born there. The United States is the most important market for the Hi-Tech Park,” he added.

“We are proud that the USA and American corporations buy Belarusian software. This proves that we are fully capable of improving the results the Hi-Tech Park has achieved so far,” Vsevolod Yanchevsky added.
